I-15 goes through a beautiful gorge cut by the Virgin River. There is no place to pull of and get a picture. The Virgin River at Cedar Pockets Campground is not nearly as impressive, but quite gorgeous in its own right.

Peralto Lost Gold Mine Trail in the Sonoron Desert.
Peralto Lost Gold Mine Trail, Apparently in the 1850's, Peralto and his men were transporting gold back to Mexico.
Peralto Lost Gold Mine Trail. Apache Indians were not pleased with the violation of their sacred mountain, and wiped out the mule train. Since gold ore was found on the mules, it led to belief the mine was in the area where the mules' bodies were found.
Apparently the Dutchman found the mine, and gold had been processed just inside the entrance. The mine appears to have been on the west side of the Superstition Mountains near the area called Goldfield. This is well away from the trail.

Coyote in RV Park. This was formerly the home of coyotes. When a female gave birth to pups, they were fed. Now it is hard to persuade the grown pups to leave. Never trust a coyote. They are wild and clever and not adverse to grabbing a snack on a string -- such as a small pet.
Red Jay is a very colorful relative of the Blue Jay common in the midwest. Green Jays are common in South Texas. The rarer Brown Jay is also found there.

Some of the laws are designed to discourage out-of-state workers, even when the jobs have low pay.
Many Arizona citizens unfortunately appear to blame "snowbirds" for their problems and try to make "snowbirds" pay
for all improvements.
The amount of construction and water usage makes you wonder where water will come from when the next big drought occurs.
The "Brown Cloud" from South Mountain. Air pollution over Pheonix now leads to repository issues for some people. Many Pheonix residents blame snowbirds
